This was an awesome book. I loved the idea of being in a submarine with evilness. Not trying to give away too much here. It’s a terrible situation to be in. Great atmospheric
Enjoyed immensely

Every engineer should read this book. It contains wonderful insights from the study of intelligence and brains.
I quite enjoyed the first two books about Lev and crew, but this third installment felt like the needle scratches across a skipping record. What happened? It’s a shame that this was not a trilogy of two. Leave this one and imagine your own ending. I guarantee it is better than this drivel.
Not much to enjoy here. It’s kinda like listening to the military industrial complex fantasize about space being exactly like a modern-times military campaign. All the time. The protagonists, who are essentially indistinguishable from one another besides their rank and specialty within the team, are given a Deus Ex Machina plot device in the first..
Hard to listen to. Such an obvious rip-off, I can’t believe the author had the gall. Recommend against buying this book.
This was a very good story that was ruined by the continuing juvenile banter of the suppressed military officers in the story. I listened to about half of it but then gave up on it. Don’t waste a credit.
Very thorough research but the narrator’s pronunciation of SEA locations could have been better. 1972 was a tough year in SEA especially for aviators.
If you like space operas, and who the hell doesn’t? Good story, fast paced, leading to a awesome series.
Another entry in the “We were doomed, but then we found this warship with an AI” genre, except in this case it is a pacifist warship. A pacifist warship? Isn’t that an oxymoron? I suppose the author was looking for something to set this book apart from all of the other books in this sub-category..
I re-read this book about 4 times. I will keep coming back to it when I forget or feel less confident in my parenting skills. This book has changed my life.
