The story did hold my attention. I struggled to keep listening to it. Hoped it would improve but it did not.
Or maybe just a little late. But better late than never. I feel like my entire perspective on my son and his behavior has completely changed. A real paradigm shift. I needed to hear theses things. I felt like this book was written about my son and now I know how to help him –..
The SR-71 was a genius machine. Nothing has ever been designed so perfect for it’s mission. Everyone involved with this program is a hero.
Filled withwild unsupported macroeconomic assertions and trite marketing solutions I want my money back. Alas it will not be. You can keep your money by heeding my warning.
This book opens your eyes to what these heros faced. if you have served you laugh with these stories, you shutter and a few times you get choked up. Outstanding book and great stories
Almost the exact opposite of what it claims to be. This is not history through Chinese eyes, or even an examination of historical memory in China. It is merely a history of China’s dealings with foreigners — “foreign policy” would be too generous. — told more from an outside than a Chinese perspective. SKIP IT!!!
I can’t remember the last book that I both cried and laughed through, but this one not only drew me in on a personal level, it changed everything I’ve ever thought about WWII in the process! These stories are the real deal, told from the heart by a man who lovingly lays them out on..
Characters are just barely sympathetic. Narrator was great w/what he had to work with but don’t waste your time, $, or credit.
