Each book in this series left me frustrated with the lack of characters that you could root for. I will not seek further works of this author.
the book is great and the narrator does do a great job but it’s clear he doesn’t know anything about games with how he pronounces words in the book. it breaks the immersion when he pronounces things so horribly. otherwise everything’s amazing

I think it’s disingenuous to use the ‘Boys series’ name here as it has a very different format. The Lightning Boys (etc.) series tells first-person stressful and humorous stories that go into detail and really let you feel that you are there.
