Good information on the status of the armies during and after Gettysburg. Meade was put in a near impossible position and preformed admirably. This is a good addition to the record that honors his service.

The book is sensitively and honestly written. Although the missions in 1972 were not as intense as before the war was winding down, they were non the less dangerous. Very thorough story, not just of the title incident, but the history of the ship, the airplane, the people, and even Japanese-American relations. The surprising part of the story is got little anyone seemed to care about the lost nuclear weapon, other than covering up its loss. Recommended.
