Wow depressing Absolutely Nothing good came from this terrible ordealCriticism of the deadman’s point only made the whole story more sad

This telling of the lives of the 3 main characters from the end of their military careers during WWII kept me interested in their non-wartime lives even though the level of action slowed. The characters roles in the Korean War and through marriage and children was very engaging.

This was a fun story. It was geared to the YA audience. There was plenty of action. The characters were likeable. The hero always wins. Everything he does turns out right. And the ending had a good cliff hanger. Fun is the optimum wort here.

I love hearing veterans from ww2 tell their story’s. This book does just that. It all comes together with just 1 rifle that has brought the greatest generation together one last time!

At first, I was wondering how slow the story was going to go, but then by the third chapter, I was drawn in to the characters and experience that they were having when they ship capsized. I truly enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more of this authors books.

Was a good book, but lacked a lot of details and depth. Not a slight to Mr Mawhinney, but more the author.

The writing about the war was good, but the interpersonal relationships between the characters, especially the men and the women, was just ridiculous.
