I don’t even know what to say. This book was incredible. My grandfather was a WWII vet. I wish someone would have recorded his story. I cried throughout the entire book. And I ended it with such a grateful heart to all those who proudly served our country. Thank you Andy for this book.

This biography feels very much like a college student essay. The author does not say they get details from declassified files, but instead goes mostly from interviews with the subject. All sorts of inaccuracy, but it’s an enjoyable listen, that will keep you entertained for a few hours.

Being from Chicago, and living most of my life near the area mentioned in this book, I found it very interesting. I found the it annoying with mispronounced street names and school names. While some were easily made mistakes (Throop St. is pronounced Troop not THRoop) and unless you’re from Chicago, most would make that..

This book shared so many insights that I will absolutely apply with my own teenage son. It also reminded me what role a parent should play during these years, and I am looking forward to adjusting my parenting style. Excellent read!

Great start to the series. The characters are just getting themselves used to all the changes. I have high hopes for the rest of the series. I enjoyed the last T.L. Payne series I read too
