The the stories these World War II veterans shared are incredibly valuable. The background on who they are as people even more so. The personal touch the author provides as a veteran himself, and having a relative who was the source of his inspiration tie this all together.

I really enjoyed this book. The ending blew me away. The narrator was excellent. He managed to catch the right notes of terror. Great job!

This should be required listening for every American citizen! There is a reason they are called “The Greatest Generation Ever”!!! As someone under 50… I completely agree!! It is a detailed and very technical description of the aircraft and its missions, coupled with stories of the writer.

I really enjoyed the stories but there was way too much sex scenes. I got tired after a while and fast forwarded thru those parts in order to enjoy the stories.

Loved it new horizons to be explored. I thought it would be dull and dry. Far from it!!

There were some pretty good intense scenes. There were a few problematic things, but, over all, I liked it.
