I gave this book two stars because it never lived up to its promise. The title suggests a powerful and compelling story, but what unfolds is clunky and uneven. The pacing drags, the dramatic tension feels manufactured, and the plot never quite finds its flow. Attempts to weave in artificial intelligence only make things worse,..
I was so excited to see that Kevin O’Brien had a new book. As a Seattle area native, I love reading his books and this one didn’t disappoint. The narration was great and as usual, a gripping (if not slightly predictable) story. 😀
Culpability is a smart, fast-paced listen with a fresh twist on our newest world disruptor-AI. The story blends suspense and big ideas in a way that kept me hooked, and the narration brings every character to life. A unique, thought-provoking thriller I couldn’t stop listening to!
I enjoyed the story, It was thought provoking and would make for a good book club discussion. Thought the main narrator was mechanical.
Fantastic. One of the best ways I have heard AI explained through the lives and eyes of people. Excellent story telling. I don’t understand all the science, but the ethical challenges were clear. A revelatory take of social, ethical and political importance
Love love loved this book! Love how they switched between characters in telling the story, also main character is very relatable, likeable, and told from his viewpoint. This story will suck you in!
Good story that challenges the reader to examine their own moral stance and its ambiguity and hypocrisy
It was excellent and I am sort of speechless on what to say about it. Very thought provoking, presenting many moral challenges in life and with AI and the fast pace of our world. The characters were compelling and realistic and the philosophical dilemmas were presented in a believable manner. This isn’t very helpful I..
