This book took an old storyline used many times in Rom Coms but gave it a fresh new twist making it into a fun holiday listen. Narration is excellent.

Ugh. The constant bickering between the main characters was a real put off. The main female character seemed outright mean, and I wasn’t rooting for her to win. I ultimately didn’t finish because I couldn’t endure.
Need more variety in the voices. Too similar for all the characters.

Very well written. But you will need to read all trigger warnings before reading. They should be on Keri Lake’s website. Parts of it are incredibly heart breaking, particularly if you are a loving parent. I gave the performance 4 stars because sometimes it was hard to tell when the female lead was speaking out..

I’ve enjoyed other more recent Keri Lake titles. I came across this one when searching for my next listen. I am so glad I chose to read the summary and purchase this title! The voice actors were good, the story was good, overall it was a great standalone story!
