This book was very good, but I found the “slow burn” to be a little too slow at times. However, the last part of the book makes up for it. It took forever to piece together, but once those pieces “click” OMG! The ending left me shook!
Spoiler alert ‼️ I just can’t believe he was the one who find the guy on the bridge that was such bull shit turn out to be the guy who kill her husband no way , that’s when I gave up on this book and we could have done without the last 5mins of the..
I will start by saying that both of the narrators did a great job! I’m not a huge “dark” romance person and so some parts of the book seemed a bit “grr” to me. It’s not dark dark but some moments made me feel very uncomfortable (maybe I didn’t read some of the trigger warnings..

This is a taboo story, but the way it’s written, is captivating, and enthralling, just phenomenal. After a tragedy, Brant goes to..
The twists were great, but the read overall was just okay. I’ve read and loved other works by Lake, but this definitely isn’t a book I would recommend.
