This book had my heart pounding at times it was almost impossible to stop listening. The narrator was amazing.

This is technically my second by Lake and I’ve loved both this one and 𝘕𝘰𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘢. Couldn’t put it down read it in one day. So entertaining & funny. I loved it! Must read, I highly recommend.

Not sure the author knew where she was going with this one. Not worth a credit.

I loved the back and forth between past and present and the mystery unraveling all the way until the end with a twist.

I’m not a big fan of the narration, and this is also overdone in terms of, I don’t know, I can’t stand listening to it anymore. I want my credit back.

Good book. Fell flat in some places of the greater plot line. MMC was a little too dull and monotone most moments but overall it was a good book. Loved him essentially ridding her of her husband so he could take her for himself.

Emma Wells introduces the world to Cordelia Black, and I hope there are more of her stories to come! Fans of serial killer dramas like Dexter, will definitely be entertained by Cordelia and her monsters.

I’m hesitant to write an extensive review. Typically, when the first book meets or exceeds my “definitely worth the credit” expectations, the next installment turns out to be crap.
