Amazing Storytelling!

Review from Survival of the Fastest →

I wasn’t initially drawn to this audiobook, but it completely blew me away. The story was incredibly captivating, like watching two high-speed races at once. The author’s transitions between different life moments were seamless, and the narrator was outstanding—his pacing and delivery kept me fully engaged. It felt like the author himself was narrating. I Couldn’t Stop Listening

Review from Titan →

The story was so in sync with the times, I had to remind myself it was a work of fiction and not a real life event. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. I plan to check out other books by this author.

Good, not what I expected

Review from The Puller →

This story wasn’t a bad read, although it seemed to take forever to get going. Some descriptions were overly long. But once it finally took off it was well worth the listen. An interesting take on something that won’t let you leave!

no story at all

Review from Rikers →

I didn’t enjoy this. I thought it would be the stories of prisoners but it was snapshot quotes, sometimes only one or two sentences that didn’t fit together well. not enjoyable.

Autobiography plus science, excellent

Review from Why We Run →

I read it for the ape to human evolution aspects, secondly for the expert exercise physiology, all presented very well indeed. But the storyline that carries the reader along is the autobiography of a runner building up to 100 km races at age 41.

This book reads (listens?) as much like a supernatural thriller as it does an exploration of rediscovering faith. Both the main character, Jim, and his antagonist/villain undergo huge personal transformations, making this book surprising even when you..
