The Dungeon Crawler Carl series is an engaging adventure, from the story line through the over the top audio performance. The series weaves video/role-playing games into an apocalyptic universe with large doses of humor. The Bedlam Bride finds our heroes engaged in a fight for survival that incorporates another genre of gaming: collectible card gaming. Will..
Still one of the best books ever written. The new characters introduced are irreverent and awesome. The ghost concept is clever. The overall plot really, really works and keeps you wanting more. But If you think a great opportunity was missed in not having the first thing Carl do, is walk across the street from..
Regardless of the few complaints I have, I’ve listened to plenty of audibooks and I just can’t rate this lower than a 5/5 for either the performance or story. The combination of Jeff and Matt blow other series out of the water! That said, I feel like there were more issues with this book than..
The sixth entry in this absolutely stellar series. My only regret with these books is that I can’t forget them just so I can experience them for the first time all over again. Wonderful story and narration.
Great immersive story, the almost Krunk from Emperors New Groove accent is perfect! I can’t wait for the reworked versions!
Great story. The author had an interesting solution to an impossible adventure to get home to your family no matter what. The time line between two important characters didn’t always match, but I’ll take that in trade for the inventive solutions to the daunting dilemma. Thanks for the ideas.
Another amazing entry. Not just a great example of the genre but continues to set the bar on audiobooks in general.
I’m so happy I can say this about the book, as I’ve been waiting for it with my breath held. The author just delivers on every front, and the narration is on the point as well. Go listen to it, it’s so worth it.
