One of the most unfortunate things about the sci-fi genre to me is how heavily it is inundated with humanistic and naturalistic thinking. It’s the right amount of everything. The narrator is great!The author has been doing great at bringing back around things that are mentioned, anticipating questions you will have, and it is written with a witty manner that you can’t wait to see what happens next. Great blend of table top RPG and video games.
The narration is great, the story and writing felt week or artificial. the way certain parts of the story’s past are referenced feels like an AI wrote it, and the action is lazy. They are facing superpowered baddies and they basically just b-ch slap them and it’s over no real fight or danger. I’ve read/listened..
