This is a “Dresden Files” kind of story, where a wizard is a pseudo part of the local PD and helps solve crimes. The take on his “powers” is interesting and keeps the story moving forward. The best part, for me, of this book was the narration.
As always the story is epic. The characters are funny, deep, dark with lots of twists and turns. The real challenge is to stop and avoid listening for 5+hours per day to get to the end. This can be addictive so i would suggest to be on holiday when you embark on this journey. I..

I think that the Dungeon Crawler Carl Series is the best audiobook experience ever with absolutely perfect writing. This book is a great addition to the series and even though the series gets much more serious, there are still funny moments. The progression feels spot on and the narration is absolute perfection.
