A great story and the actors made it feel like you were right there with them. I read mostly heavy political or economic stuff. I needed a fun read and this book hit the spot. I’m going straight to book two to find out what happens to Carl and Princess Doughnut!

it was a good listen and the readers also have great voices good choice. could have done with out directly inserting the isaki stuff but it did not hurt it.
An hour in, I was thinking this was kinda fun but I probably wouldn’t be finishing it. Another hour… I’m still telling myself this is stupid but well-narrated and well-produced, and so funny that I can’t stop listening. The characters are colorful and well-developed, and as it goes forward the story is surprisingly layered.
As mentioned above, the humor in this story doesn’t follow the usual styles and is more sarcastic or out of left field and unexpected. Its a fairly refreshing change, and the story progresses at a fairly decent pace where it doesn’t feel super rushed or too slow. The narration was also excellent, however the one..
