I’m only like 10% in, but I’d like to say that I was skeptical about “Heather” cause of the comments, but so far she is has not done anything that warrants such hate. edit: Just made it to like 16% and oh. my. goodness. I’m starting to see why people were giving this character so..
The two hour exposition dump at the beginning of the book should be considered a warcrime. Onboarding people into what a videogame is and how they work is agony to endure. This and the total explanation not only of the narrative but also the central tension is… unsatisfying. Please stop telling me literally everything. man…
Well developed characters. The heroes do not always triumph. The challenges have consequences. Maybe a little less voice modulation in the audiobook. Made some voices hard to understand.
If you don’t mind getting involved in a good series where the writer just stops, leaving you in the middle of the plot with no closure, then this is a good series, but you’re going to be highly disappointed at the end. But soundbo theater is great, and they make it a great series.
I was so excited for this to come out and it was even better than expected. I love how the relationship between the two has grown so much. The orphan cards are great along with are favorite good boy. The road to being a PI goes just as you would expected from a former enforcer…
I love this series because the stories are fantastic but what really puts the icing on the cake are the performances by the narrators/voice actors. It makes it such a pleasurable experience.
Amazing excellent full of laughs and tears. Narration allows you to feel like you are a part of the experience right there on the dungeon floor. Wow!
The story is just standard, the thing that really sticks out is the narration. Its a standard book, not bad though.
