This book is simply fantastic. Easily one of the best series in the LitRPG subgenre, with a great cast of characters and a compelling crisis to deal with. it has a really great blend of action and humor, and that stays true through all 7 books in the series so far.
The narrator is phenomenal and the story clips along like an out-of-control train. I am positively hooked on this series and the way the narrator portrays every character.

There were some charming characters, but the main character was a selfish jerk. He couches his actions as ‘good for the family’ but he doesn’t hesitate to impose his will on everyone without permission. He has no problem manipulating everyone else. When he is asked for guidance, it’s too much trouble for him to give..
