Matt Dinniman, does it again, with an incredibly entertaining installment. He masterfully weaves evermore complex adventures around our favorite characters while growing depth and intrigue around supporting figures. The culmination of this book is fantastic, and sets the stage for future books in the series. On to the next level of the dungeon!

Perfect for fans of D&D and other TTRPG games but accesible for pretty much anyone who isn’t easily offended by violence and irony. Packed with frantic action and wry humor. Easily the best produced audio book I have ever listened to. 10/5 stars. Eleven thumbs up. This book series will be the next big thing.

I really enjoyed these books and look forward to the next books. I have nothing to complain about, I do like the status recaps are there own chapters so you can skip them easily.

love the story and how even the side characters have a backstory. as a former D and D player this is great.

The crawl is unlike anything you’ve ever encountered. Full of surprises, suspense, and unexpected twists. Lives up to its motto, “The most entertaining outcome is the most likely outcome.” Does not disappoint. Wildly entertaining.

There’s a reason why TCGs/CCGs aren’t done in book format. The mechanics are boring. Thankfully, Carl and Donut’s antics outside of the card games more than makes up for it.
