Very nice. Quite acceptable. By reading this review you’ve unlocked a new achievement! Your reward is NOTHING. Except the resounding applause you’re now allowed to give yourself, silently, in your own imagination.
I’d been warned that I would laugh out loud at many parts of this, while at the same time, enjoy the story and I have to say that was an accurate statement. This was so much fun. Can’t wait to jump into book 2 as soon as possible.
Much like this first book, this is hard to put down. same humor and vibe. starts to get a lot heavier into the mechanics of the world. if the first book was “too nerdy” or technical – be warned that that increases. if you like the Diablo 2 descriptions and interface, then get your special..
Exactly what I didn’t know I needed. It’s dark, gore filled, and laugh out loud funny. The narrative throws you into the action without introducing 20 people that all get confused until you’re halfway through the damn book. You start out with 2 to 3 relatable characters who get built up and back stories added while..
Such a fun listen. So lighthearted and exciting and easy to follow along. So good wish the season was done.
For anyone that plays/played video games, RPGs, or FPSs, this book is a part nostalgia, part action, and part hilarity. A raunchy and grotesque version of Ready Player One. I couldn’t put this one down, and I’m immediately starting on the next in the series
I initially thought the first book was better. This book was dragging with useless banter at times, and also the MC levels and abilities seem mundane compared to the creatures he was facing. But everything recovered nicely at the very end. I decided to try the 3rd book since it’s currently on sale.
love the adventures of Carl and princess doughnutthe addition have been great cannot wait for the next adventure
