it’s starting to move a bit slower, but it’s still well written, acted, and executed. great series for sure!
Everything you were expecting and more, fantastic job of getting us the feeling of the colony was at war and battling superior forces for months. Sieges, battles and magic, what more could you ask for?
This has gotten so much love I just had to give it a listen. Narration is on a whole other level with Jeff Hays. Can’t say enough about his range/character distinction and the story itself did not disappoint. Can’t wait to dig further into the series!
Good premise but the writer drags the story out with telling over showing, and then telling you again over and over again. I felt like it was just running in place. Halfway through you’ll feel like barely anything has happened at all.
What a fun and captivating book. Immediately getting volume 2! If you like adventures, sci fi, or role playing, I strongly suggest you give this a listen.
