I enjoyed the story but some parts are very predictable. Even with that, I would purchase book two ( if when it comes out). I enjoy the Soundbooth theatre crew and they performed great as always.

not really kid friendly but young adults would love this book due to its sense of perspective and questions about reality

This book has me laughing out loud. The voice actors are really good and the story is pretty fantastic. Maybe not for younger or more innocent audiences.

*Spoilers* Donut really had quite a journey. Her meltdown with Beatrice and culminating in the moment with her struggling to show emotion over the loss and carnage. These books constantly surprise me with deeply emotional moments wrapped in wild, comedic mayhem. So very good.

I wish there was more looting involved within the story. Nothing hits home in litrpg like loads of new loot. I like new loot as opposed to an old piece being upgraded.

Great book! Fantastic writing that is both complex and emotional while also being bonkers and exciting. Matt is a wonderful writer and I cannot recommend this book enough. On top of that, the narrator is one of the best I have heard in a long time. What a talent!

Fast paced from the first word and gripping until the last. From the moment you meet Carl and his princess, Donut, you cheer for them, worry for them, and anticipate every next encounter for them. Humor and action are hand in hand in the telling of this story. I can’t wait for book 2!

I really like this book I am going to buy the next one and keep going. I am hooked. Very well thought out.
