This novel is a time regression story, not really an isekai. The author is ham-fisted in how he depicts the old man; he walks with a cane and refers to younger folk as “lad” or “lass”, and generally speaks in a stiff manner. This doesn’t change when he’s spirited away into his younger body. My..

Enjoyable story. Hard to paint the picture trying to be set with all the trains and train tracks this time, but enjoyed the action and drama nonetheless.

I love the story and the flow is so smooth keeping me wrapped chapter after chapter. Seeing the growth, hearing and feeling as I’m walking the story with the characters and sharing in the losses and the victories.

This was an incredible series. Between the characters, storyline and narration this series is well worth the listen. wish the series would continue.

This is just an experience. That’s all I can say. It’s a must have experience.

I got started with the first books just before this one came out. The world building is really well done, and the quests and rewards feel well paced.Can’t wait for vol 4
