Fantastic continuation. I really enjoyed this book basically listened to it straight through. Deck summary’s were in their own skippable chapter which was nice.

The author did a pretty good job, in my opinion, of creating a power for the main character that at glance seems overpowered, but only if properly deployed. He managed to strike a good balance of using magic and wits in order to solve a problem, and foregoing using brute strength like in other stories…

I’ve listened to this series multiple times and I love it more and more each time. I would recommend the series to anyone and I usually do. I can’t wait for the next book. Onto the ninth floor.

The escalation of the story from start to finish has been incredible.Every facet of the audio book has improved immersion. Hugo, you have made a wonderful world, and I await the next chapter in Wright’s tale.

amazing book, was dreading it will be a ending but this feels like we have a lot to come and hopefully the next book will be soon. stories fun and char writing was amazing. felt solidly grounded in how the stories been going and really does a amazing job writing the fighting and war scenes..
