Without providing too many spoilers the world that was created here and the hoops and ladders that Carl and his team has to go through to survive is absolutely mind blowing. I don’t know how people come up with this but it’s awesome

This book would have been great if the MC wasn’t so dumb. And if he didn’t go on & on about everyone being an npc

I am only to chapter 11 and there is a constant subtle and every so often more noticeable sound when the narrator talks, it sounds like he is talking through a fan. It makes the words choppy. It had me thinking my speakers were blown. It gets worse when there is more background noise.

Then you may like Dungeon Crawler Carl. But this book should probably be called Dungeon Crawler Donut after the more compelling character.

Loved the story. It was a fun mix of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Hunger Games, Dungeons and Dragons, and Ready Player One. Very original, and the narration was absolutely excellent.

Another great book from Hugo, and another great performance by Soundbooth Theater. Everything I want to gush about is a spoiler, but this was a really fun ride.

As the title says, the performance of the narrator was 10 out of 10. The story was 2 out of 10. Well, for me at least. If you like crazy violence, and crude humor, you would like this more than me. They’re just isn’t really a compelling story here. If you are judging this book..
