This was a step up from the train level. On audio it was much easier to follow and get a more solid sense of what was happening. The overall plot thickens as Carl and Donut fight the power. Cartoonishly ridiculous situations delight and are balanced well with the serious nature of Carl’s overall mission.
First of all props to the author for this series. My first ever LitRPG and I’m loving it. But the narrators of the audiobook are spectacular! So entertaining.
I took this as a small fun book and a little bit of information of like d&d the world jumping it turned out to be a full series full of complex lore and it actually relatively understandable and reasonable explanation for why a game mechanics just want to help people react to it they did..
Rarely have I come upon series that has made me laugh and cry in equal amounts. The political intrigue is astonishing and had me going back through passages multiple times to make sure I caught all the crazy twists and turns. All the characters feel so real, it’s heartbreaking. And the AI just keeps getting..
From start to finish this book has it all. Humorous, great storytelling, and amazing narration. If you love dungeons and dragons this book series is for you.
