The story is fantastic, the writing is so rich, the characters and the world are developed so well and continue developing. There’s good humor laced through out, and the narration really brings everything to life, the performance is stellar. This series I highly recommend to anyone interesting in a sort of sci-fi, RPG story.
Jeff and Lucky were fantastic, and I loved the added effects like chuckles, gasps and thumps added into the audio mix, as well as layering voices over one another when appropriate. Very immersive and high quality. I did have one main issue with the story, but many others seemed to share the opinion. (=======| SPOILERS!..
TLDR: Look, this book wasn’t for me. But give it a try! Especially if you can return the credit. It might just be the YA, shallow, power fantasy flick you need. —- I was intrigued by the book’s initial review and premise. Magic? Supers? Tech? Magic Super Tech?!? What’s not to love, right?
