You’ll love this series if you’re a rpg fan mixed with comedy. Trust me it’s worth a listen or two.
The story and humor
Review from Dead Tired I →
great series/books. I find the books funny and whimsical. having played on line games and rpgs, but amazed at the detail/descriptions of talents or spells. how the author thinks up these details is fascinating
When I saw the book was half the listening time I knew what was up. The next book is this book should have just been one book and y’all know it.
If you are already reading the series, then you know how good it is.If you are thinking of starting these books, begin with the first one and don’t make any plans for a few weeks as you slowly succumb to listening to them all of the time.Consider yourself warned.
There was over an hour of card stats in one big chunk.while knowing the partys cards and what they do is nice and all, we didn’t really get to hear about them in action so it felt like a needless info dump in the latter half of the book. It feels like i wasted time..
This was amazing. Definitely better paced than the first. But then it just ends. The story gets to what’s supposed to be the climax, then nothing, no conclusion. It feels like 3/4 of a book. Still though; amazing follow up, narrators were amazing as always.
Rushed, short, dumb. The first book was such a great book.Jeff Hays makes this writing so fascinating. Too bad the book was so short and Rushed, filled with bloat to make the book appear longer. I do like my skill reviews, but not when they are used to take up valuable story time.
