Every entry of the series builds so well. Relistening to the series really makes you appreciate the journey. I’ve never enjoy a book so much as this one, it’s the culmination of everything the series has to offer. Love isn’t a strong enough term.
The reviews title sums up my review! The cover art and title lead me to believe this was going to be more 🌶️ scenes. Is there yes, but the rpg elements are more important and building the world up is more important. Great listen! Will be checking out from this series.
Really fun, summer listen. Funny, and story holds together nicely. Not too predictable and characters develop which draw the reader in and keeps the story fresh. Not fine literature, but not meant to be.

Main characters are the best thing about this book. They’re decent, not too dumb with their powers and bring some straight man humor about the absurdity of their situation to the story. Harem wouldn’t be intolerable if every female character wasn’t a condescending know it all. They talk to the mcs like they’re redheaded step..

there’s a scene where the MC SA’s one of the side characters and it was really just pushed me over the edge. I liked the idea of a monster turned into a cool character but SA really wasn’t for me. it happens in prior books too but this one felt different.
Annie did an amazing job narrating can’t wait to see what her next one is!

Thoroughly enjoyed an overall great premise to a post-apocalyptic alien invasion. The decisions faced by both sides – the survivors left behind and those that had escaped – are realistic, human, and makes the reader contemplate their own perspective for impossible situations and decisions. Looking forward to the next installment of this yarn!
