This was a great introduction into Adair Finch’s magic-filled world in The Chronos Chronicles series. The characters are colorful and frequently funny. The mystery moves quickly without loosing it’s touch of humor. The narration was performed well and added personality to each character. I look forward to continuing with this series.
Found myself getting bored, character strength progression doesn’t seem to support battle outcomes and plot direction
Some people have reacted to what they perceive as misogyny due to the frankly rather lowbrow humour. I don’t think the author is doing it with any ill will towards women or others, it comes across more as a form of critique of the way our world has turned out, that this sort of entertainment..
