Not bad as far as litrpg goes. Terrible pacing, creative world, good-enough characters, and phenomenal narration. The game announcer is very funny and the jokes hit more than they miss. The writing is mediocre and huge swaths are self-indulgent and forgettable; the performance is what makes it a worthwhile experience.

Review from Dungeon Crawler Carl →
I started this series back when it first came out but something about the original audio didn’t grab me so I set it aside. I recently picked it back up and from the moment it started I was hooked!! This book is unlike any I’ve read in the past but at the same time it..
I always enjoy the LitRPG mechanic and the premise of this one is fun. Problem is that there are no stakes in the story. MC can heal anybody and pretty much do anything, so nobody dies, no obstacle is more than a second or two away from being solved… everything is easy. Also MC is..
I tried. I really did

Such a sssssllllllooooooowwww start. I wanted to stop about 2 hours in. But I read the reviews and decided to stick with it. 4 hours in….still no story. MC still not getting it. A bard, trying to get rid of rats, and he leaves his instrument behind? Ever heard of the Pied Piper? That was..
My gods!!
