Better than average writing and character building for the genre. Not any truly unique elements but still quite enjoyable. Will try next book.
Good writing

this seem to be the #1 most recommended book on reddit. I can’t stand this book. I gave it 3 star because there are some laugh out loud moments and the narrator was serviceable.
Love this whole series by far my favorite, has me hooked off the first book! From the funny banter to the intense battle this series keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat !
Watching the two main characters learning and growing together makes you fall in love with them more and more with each turn of the page.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series. The mystery are building and I want to know what happens next.
as usual the team up of Matt Dinniman and Jeff Hayes have knocked it out of the park again. there were times where I was on the edge of my seat I was laughing definitely a lot of crying if you’re looking to get your friends into litRPGs this is the series you should recommend..
Faction Wars has been referenced numerous times in the previous books, and we finally arrive. It is not easy to review the book without spoilers, but I can try. In the words of Carl, “We gain things, and we lose things.” And in war, that is always true. Friends are lost and gained, and hard..

Unlikable MC, complete crybaby and an idiot… wished for his death the entire book, to improve the story universe’s gene pool. The author poorly designed attempt at a supposedly worldclass gamer… Instead the plot and challenges are forced and have contrived solutions that asinine. There is no redeeming characteristics for the MC.
This series is amazing and the narrator is fantastic. I have listened to this series multiple times!!
