one of those books that has adult themes but are handled with the clunky hands. the maturity of the protagonist is sporadic, swinging from well articulated emotionally mature to an idiot in a few chapters.

There’s just nothing to commend this one. I’m not even talking about the objectification of characters or the senseless violence. I guess I expected that. I’m talking about the complete lack of a plot and the 2 dimensional character array. There’s just no reason to listen to another of this author’s books.
The narrator just sells it

I had had this book on my radar for a while, and it was a pleasant surprise to listen to. I expected a different story than what I got. A lich that has a thirst for knowledge, is dissatisfied with not many new things to explore. He becomes tired of the world and lays himself..
Cake!!!

This is one of the most entertaining books i’ve read in a long time. The unfortunate part is that for some reason the bitrate/quality of this audio is pretty rough, but you can tell a ton of effort and time was put into the actual production. There are audio effects, used subtly, The world building..
I want more!!
