one of those books that has adult themes but are handled with the clunky hands. the maturity of the protagonist is sporadic, swinging from well articulated emotionally mature to an idiot in a few chapters.

There’s just nothing to commend this one. I’m not even talking about the objectification of characters or the senseless violence. I guess I expected that. I’m talking about the complete lack of a plot and the 2 dimensional character array. There’s just no reason to listen to another of this author’s books.

Every second is filled with humor and suspense and emotion. I’ve always liked female leads, but I think this is working its way into my favorite series.

I had had this book on my radar for a while, and it was a pleasant surprise to listen to. I expected a different story than what I got. A lich that has a thirst for knowledge, is dissatisfied with not many new things to explore. He becomes tired of the world and lays himself..

The book wasn’t terrible. The performance was actually really good. There were genuinely enjoyable moments in the story. The problem was the rest of the book was incredibly dull.

I found myself laughing during a lot of this book can’t wait to get to the next one.

I think this series is hilarious! I am also a huge fan of Harmon, Jeff, and Annie. I won’t spoil the book for anyone who is just starting the series but I’ll tell you this adventure + humor litrpg was well written and performed.

This is one of the most entertaining books i’ve read in a long time. The unfortunate part is that for some reason the bitrate/quality of this audio is pretty rough, but you can tell a ton of effort and time was put into the actual production. If you read the first one, you’ll be hooked. So get into this series. Um don’t play it with kids around ok. Get them mongo.
