an amusing story, but feels like it’s trying to be He Who Fights With Monsters, but the system stats and rules seem irrelevant. character motivation and interactions all feel forced and the railroaded story feels blundering. voices are good though

Carl’s voice in the first book feels a bit grating. Don’t let this stop you. It’s actually vocal character development that trends up into book 3. Every book in this series is awesome. Gritty action and way more depth of story/character than I expected. I’ve chain listened into book 6 and I’m disappointed in myself..
Fantastic addition to the series, and the voice direction is amazing in about 90% of the story. The choice to use such heavy distortion in the final chapter and the epilogue kind if ruined the landing.
I listen to a lot of books. I listen to a lot of book series. And this is one of the better series and this book must be better than most. Some authors get better. This is one of them.

solid performance by SBT as always. the humor had no meat to it. three name did well. if this review is weird I’m writing it on my phone and half way through the app turned black
Was the eyeball goo in the mouth too much? Not if you are a fan of Carl. This was a fantastic continuation of the Dungeon series and another brilliant performance by Jeff Hayes. Seriously though, the eyeball goo in the mouth made me scream in disgusted horror. Highly recommend!

The story telling was amazing, and voice actor was great! really felt like I was watching a movie every time I listened!
The narrators made this a lot of fun. Be sure to listen to the extras at the end!

I’m a writer myself, and this was my best new read all year. It’s rare when a writer can get the humor so spot-on, and the story is great. The characters are relatable and the stakes are about as high as they can be, with great well-described action scenes. I ended this first book wanting..
