A fun book, but really enjoyed the reference to starship troopers. made me go watch that scene over again
The adventures of Carl and Donut continue in one of their top installments. Both comedy and drama are masterfully mixed and leave me wanting more.
The voice actors are very good at bringing this wonderful (and more relevant by the minute) concept to life, and on getting the jokes to land perfectly, I laughed out loud quite a few times during this. The balance of humor and storytelling feels even stronger in this second entry, where it feels like the..
I’m not sure why LitRPG writers insist on thinking readers want to read about someone going through their menu choices or that the most compelling full immersion games of the future will all be city builders, but that is unfortunately what I’m getting from this genre. Life Reset book 2 is a heavy example of..
Listened through twice, that’s how enjoyably this adventure was. As a mtg player, the deck based powers resonated with me. The MC was strong and wise, striving for perfection on his regression. Tracked down the author on Royal Road to continue the story.
I’ve listened to plenty of dungeon core books, and this avoided more than a few annoying tropes common in the genre. I really enjoyed this, especially the second half, and plan to continue the series as I’m able. Soundbooth knocked it out of the park, as always.
Some sections (if you know you know) really ruined the immersion of getting into the story. Not sure why I was surprised based off of the title but it was still very abrasive. As expected from Jeff Hays – the narration was fantastic.
Dislike the cussing so much but if you can get over that the story is pretty interesting. You got Maze Runner like properties with gaming leveling and items. Also clowns don’t forget the clowns
Another quality piece that takes a bit of a new turn. Getting to see the inner workings of the plans develop and the characters new paths has been exciting. Love the narration performance and the end credits were a blast. Truly appreciate the duo of Dinniman and Hays!
