Loved it. In the second half more & more minor new characters are added, which subtracted from the ‘premium content of the Boxxy show’ for me, but nevertheless it was a hoot and I enjoyed the ride tremendously. The sound design was exquisite, the nain narrator was great as always and the new female narrator..
First, I’m really enjoying this series, It’s lighthearted and irreverent. Chester is Hilarious, and by now, Damon has pretty much accepted him for what he is. For the most part Damon treats Chester like a slow, somewhat psychotic, but beloved, little brother. Marco and Christin are also fun (even if they make confusing decisions). then..
I’m hooked. Couldn’t put it down. Bought all the books. Then discovered the audio and bought it all again. Now onto book 4 instantly.
I have… never listened to 7 books back to back, then restarting from the beginning and listened to all seven books again. Matt does it like no other. I mean, I was IN the books. Jeff Hayes’ performance was masterful. Perfect tone throughout. I never felt fatigued listening for hours at a time. the story..
Clever writing with comedy and some gore. Story line a bit repetitious at times but then gets going into other “territories” of the story. Son says to stick with it thru Book 2 before giving up on it. Thus far, I liked He who Fights with Monsters series better. I had no trouble putting this..
I loved the character development, the actor’s voices, and the many interlocking storylines. This book is for anyone who loves D&D, cats, Boxer shorts, and feet.
Not my usual sci fi/fantasy read, I’m so glad I tried it. If you have rpg experience it makes it even more hilarious. Moving on to the second book immediately.
Great book and character work and performance. Cant wait for next book coming out next year. Keep the dungeon crawl going
