Everything wrong with LitRPGs as a genre does not seem to be able to attach itself to Dungeon Crawler Carl as the story and its characters continue to stand tall and the narration by Jeff Hays continues to impress! Without spoiling too much, Carl, Donut, and The Princess Posse get pushed to their absolute limits..

I AM WRITING THIS IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE… RAFO. I WAS VERY SKEPTICAL TO SAY THE LEAST. SOMEONE DESCRIBED THIS SERIES TO ME AND IT SOUNDED ABSURD. IN HINDSIGHT, I AM SO RELIEVED I ELECTED TO LISTEN ALONG ANYWAYS. 10/10. EQUAL PARTS GOOD WRITING AND CAPTIVATING STORY ELEMENTS.
Keeping ahead of an Ant colony is hard work but that’s exactly what being an ant is all about! Still constantly hilarious and a new pet makes for new comedy!

They made a LITrpg about and ant and THEY INTEND THEIR PUNS PROUDLY! Also it’s just a fun ride with amazing narration that keeps the story interesting and entertaining!

Narration is top notch! Book is awesome, loving the developing plot and characters. Action packed and a fun read.
These books are fun and pretty good. I had to leave a review for this one though. Mainly because the Donut version of Wonderwall in end credits was awesome. I think I like that version better than the original. Cheers!

this is a new genre for me. i enjoy the author uses real places and names of things from pop culture. i find it more enjoyable than made up cities, restaurants, etc.
