In my opinion, this is an excellent story with fire and determination. This book offers the listener characters with great backstories and fight scenes that make the listener feel like they’re a part of the story. I don’t believe the audience will be disappointed if they purchase this book.

Every book I’ve thought to myself, “Where else can this guy go with this story?” I continue to be surprised, amazed, intrigued, and for some reason I thoroughly enjoy this series. I’ve only enjoyed one other series of books this much… He Who Fights With Monsters.

The story and narration continue to keep me coming back for more. I love the characters and the progression. Sometimes I do a double take when I realize Carl doesn’t really use weapons and armor. I wish these books would come faster. I do love it that this is over 26 hours long!

Very few series have ever left me wanting more like the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. I recommend starting at book one. You don’t have to, but it makes these books, exponentially more enjoyable, if that’s possible, when you start from the beginning.
Still enjoyable, but not as funny and not as compelling. Book 1 was better — but isn’t it always that way.
