This book series is the best! I highly recommend it! The narrator is incredibly talented!

Review from Carl’s Doomsday Scenario →
the premise is interesting, and occasionally the story delivers. enough that I was disappointed at the sudden ending. but the story always takes a backseat to the authors ‘humor’. most writers in this genre seem to enjoy puns. this author LOVES puns. no. not puns, Dad Jokes. complete with elbow jabs, eyebrow wiggles, and over..
I have been hearing about these for years and finally said buy it. gladi did. I’ll buy more Carl was having a bad day and then a worse night. then things get worse.
The puns were getting painful. The story was decent. OP MC had more patience for mindless mooks than I would have expected. I like the caracters that have personality beyond “you dare”. Although the maturity of the Limpet is seems to fluctuate like the author has never interacted with someone in there late teens. It’s..
story was satisfying and left me wanting more. Chester is the greatest, and Soundbooth Theater makes every book incredible to listen to.
Jeff Hays is an entertaining one man show. He sounds a lot like Patrick Warburton as Carl, and magnificent as Princess Donut. The other voices are great too. The story is fun and exciting, with several clever and funny moments I won’t spoil. The boss encounters are well done, and I enjoyed the emergent behavior..
I really liked the idea of a mimic as a companion. The Mimic was funny and a good edition to the main character’s vibe. Liked the world building and enjoyed that it wasn’t just about fighting and leveling
So good. So much fun. Hilarious idea and story. Loved every minute. Donut and Mongo are going to make this series everything.
No bad language, which I appreciate. Entertaining enough that I finished it but not enough that I’ll get the next one. I just didn’t love any character enough to need more.
