Live the story, had captivated the whole time, it’s a slow start just like gaming is, but my only complaint is I wanted it to be longer!

It keeps your attention making you wonder through all of it. It definitely worth it

this was a great listen. a fun, lighthearted storyline that just flew by. really enjoyed the narrators too.

If you enjoy Lit RPGs, you’ll love this book too. Another great installment in the dungeon crawler Carl series. Can’t wait for the next one to come to audible!

Love getting deeper into the characters while having a compelling story. This is a perfect book for those that like card based LitRPG but still very enjoyable for everyone else. Amazing, spot on narration sets the exact tone this story needs.

As a book it meh at best only pick up if you can get on sale

Cant wait to get started on the next book in the series. The book is very original and unique. The author blends fantasy with gaming well.

At first, I thought that I had made a horrible choice but a couple of action scenes were pretty good so I hung in there. By the time that it got to Mongo, I was hooked.

This is a great story made even better in the audio version by Soundbooth Theater’s amazing work. The quality of the voice acting is unsurpassed, and the judicious use of sound effects lends atmosphere and depth to the narration. So enjoyable!

I don’t usually like literary RPG’s. Industrial magic, however, is a notable exception. While it does have some stat/video game talk it doesn’t ever take you out of the story or reduce the action scenes to a series of long winded math problems.
