An hour in, I was thinking this was kinda fun but I probably wouldn’t be finishing it. Another hour… I’m still telling myself this is stupid but well-narrated and well-produced, and so funny that I can’t stop listening. The characters are colorful and well-developed, and as it goes forward the story is surprisingly layered.
As mentioned above, the humor in this story doesn’t follow the usual styles and is more sarcastic or out of left field and unexpected. Its a fairly refreshing change, and the story progresses at a fairly decent pace where it doesn’t feel super rushed or too slow. The narration was also excellent, however the one..
The magic syatem is fairly unique and it is always interesting see writers experiment. The world building could be better though.
Malina’s voice acting and writing almost made be quit reading this. She was bad in the first book but insufferable in this one. The VA is definitely inexperienced given how bad the other voices she does. But even worse that is how the writing shows the author really knows almost nothing about how people deal..
Absolutely, incomparably entertaining! What a great series! My audible library holds 300+ books; Dungeon Crawler Carl is my #1 favorite series.

I love these books. I love them so much. I’ve listened to all the books before this three times. this one however, it got a little hard to follow. kind of ended up. just giving up on understanding who’s who and what’s going on and just waiting for the emotional moments of Carl’s story and..
Love the story and love the performance of Jeff Hays. The audio of Annie has a weirdly different sound, as if they were recording at different bit rates or different overall quality. It was distracting and I strongly considered skipping her parts.
