RPG nerd here but my husband isn’t and we both enjoyed the heck out of this book. Can’t wait to read the next. Narrators did a great job too.
this book had me laughing out loud, Carl and donut are great together, can’t wait to start the next one
Annie Jeff and Justin…Chef’s Kiss the production was amazing and translated so well to Shami’s amazing story. Will be purchasing book 2. Story wise I would say any wizard detective fans are in for a real treat. I’m anticipating a long and wonderful series.
great humor, good pacing, fun performances but honestly the MC being a whiny loser for 95% of the story is a drag. when he accepts his place in the story and gets to it the book is 100% better. also the self congratulations the writers give themselves for cribbing from Tolkien is a little irritating..
This was honestly the slowest of the six of them. At one point I almost stopped reading during the middle, but so glad I did not the ending makes it very much worth it.
The only thing I can say I disliked is it didn’t last forever.Must listen. However we will have a long wait for the second installment.
I started this series a few days ago on a wim, and I’m hooked amazing writing and the person doing the reading is incredible. Id highly recommend this series to anyone.
So love the characters in this series, they really feel alive and like people. the story is great as the first one and keeps the pace nicely while revealing more of the world to us. The SBT crew does excellent work as always, this would not be what it is without them
The start is a bit rough as there is a time gap and little of it is explained at first, but as soon as the book hits it’s stride, this is a friggen’ amazing book, possibly better than the first one… JTJ and crew truly brings the book to life, their work is amazing and..
