This is only in regards to the first book as it doesn’t allow me to leave a review for only the first book specifically though I’ve completed it. An adolescent dies and is reborn as a drama student ant. The inner dialogue is repetitive and sounds like a child talking to themselves while they talk..

really hard problems understanding everything at first because the speaker doesn’t really speak very clearly. but it got better over time and I now think they found a fitting voice for Carl 🙂

Another terrific story in the lives of Carl and princess donut. The tangle gets a little confusing but that allows us to struggle with the crawlers. This whole series is one of the best recommendations I’ve ever received. I can only hope to spread the word so others can find these literary gems aa well.
A lot of this book is similar to dialogue you see in a RPG game. So I don’t think it was for me. Towards the very end I did start to get into it a bit. There is a lot of snarky humor. But all in all the book felt like an RPG to me..

I enjoyed the interplay between the MC and mimic. The overall cast was well thought out and didn’t have any overly annoying characters. The narrators did a top notch job at bringing the characters to live and very much enjoyed their performance.

Love the humor and Jeff Hayes does a good job channeling his inner Patrick Warburton which is a perfect voice for Karl.
