The story is quite funny, the characters likeable. I love how there are tons of puns and inner dialogue and the MC is a funny goofy bone daddy.
I love this series, granted I have 5 hours left which leaves me feeling quite lucky since the last book may not receive an Audible recording. I love the city building, I appreciate their isn’t too much cycling of the same thoughts. Don’t get me wrong he does, but is in no way as excessive..
Best book in the series, honestly elevates the entire series as a whole. So happy to see Hugo back at it
I was hoping this would be a fun read, started out good – definitely unhinged and sarcastic. Like if Borderlands video game merged with the Truman Show and Dungeons&Dragons. Wanted to love this but it borders on the ridiculous so the commentary on viewpoints the author obviously disagrees with is jarring… pushed past the first..
The story could use another review/edit. People know too much too fast to be believable. Minor spoiler of an example here but if the main character and his group go into a dungeon that is at least 4 hours from town and everyone else is wiped out in about 40 minutes, there is no way..
Last 10% of the book I had no idea what was going on. “Didn’t want to use this dino’s name because it references earth” yet there is a character from earth spitting Dino names the whole time??
Loved it, and it kept swerving into unexpected craziness. Loved what they did with the turkeys and how it added to the story line
