that’s it, that’s my only complaint. they went overboard with the sound effects on this one

I would probably enjoy this story being 10-11 yo but at current age it doesn’t make any sense and incredibly boring.

The production is fantastic compared to other audiobooks I’m used to hearing. The content itself is fun, accessible, and not at all pretentious. I’m working my way through the series and so far i’d recommend it to pretty much anyone with a caution regarding some swearing and violence.

Great characters, great plot, unexpected twists and turns, great voice acting. I love the intertwining of Earthen technology and Starevosi magic. It’s a great edition to the series. I can’t wait for the next book.

The book itself is well written and the voicing for Chester had me rolling in laughter quite a few times. I would for sure recommend this audio book!

This book is alight. I don’t regret buying it but I will not be continuing the series and will likely never replay it. The main voice actor starts off rough but gets better as they go. The Mimic’s voice is truly awful, though.

Great world. Cool magic. Just wish it was longer. It also ended in a weird spot.

The story felt weak at the beginning but improved over time. The “chosen ones” desire to break everything was uncomfortable to me. The more the author explored what was happening with Qube the more interesting the book was. The swearing replacements were amusing. I don’t think I’ll continue the series but I’d at least tentatively..

I’m obviously not the target audience. seems to be more of a immature teen book. half decent story and world building, I just hate the main character more than I like the rest of it.
