most this book reads like the first chapters of DCC1 stretched out over a single book. DCC was very violent, but also cartoonesque and funny. this book has very little of that. the AI storyline is OK but unoriginal if you want a violent book also against civilians and children then go ahead, otherwise skip

The story is definitely getting darker, more determined, more complex. I’m still engrossed. How do RPGs keep all of the rules in their heads? Carl stores so much information throughout the game, it’s amazing.
