Cast and crew for the narration did fantastic once again. Story wise, another great addition and expanding on the universe. Still want to know more about the various worlds and entities.
Absolutely a great listen. It’s one of my favorite series by far. I can’t wait to hear what happens next.
Another review rather aptly put this as a Die Hard: Lit RPG. The MC for most of the story is a self-absorbed idiot but one that is believable if you’ve ever met people on video games. But it’s good that he starts out that way so that this new revolution in writing called “character development”..
maybe this book would be better if it’s your first litrpg or system apocalypse, but it’s still unoriginal, boring, and cringe, particularly when the MC tried to be funny or a leader and everyone nearby laughed or applauded. Just, no. one of the biggest problems was how much of a Gary Stu the MC is,..
I loved every bit of this book. Simply put, it is something I will listen to again. The ending of this book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time!
First, the story itself It’s everything. Brutal, hilarious, smart, and ridiculous in all the best ways. It has ups, downs, and hard turns in all directions. This story makes you laugh, and cry, with the characters. Next, the narration The narration sets this story apart. Jeff Hayes brings everything to life in a way that..
This is probably the best lit rpg story out there. It has real emotion, the plot is logical with real stakes and the characters are deep and unique.
I started this yesterday morning and before I knew it, it was 2AM and I couldn’t justify “waiting for the end of the chapter” to turn it off. I just had to quit mid-scene so I could get enough sleep to have at least minimal functionality at work today. If you like dungeon core, slice..
Matt Dinniman and Jeff Hays deserve every award there is for this genre. Every book in the series is better than the last. I don’t know what they get paid but it’s not enough. I’ve listened to the entire series three times and it never gets old, I absolutely love it.
