Matt Dinniman and Jeff Hays deserve every award there is for this genre. Every book in the series is better than the last. I don’t know what they get paid but it’s not enough. I’ve listened to the entire series three times and it never gets old, I absolutely love it.

Very fun take on LiRPG

I don’t normally go for lit RPG type books as they are so similar to each other. Heck I don’t even play most of the games for this reason… This should definitely be ported to a game. It’s just that funny and entertaining. Great charters, world building and story. Narration is top notch, no confusion..
Another very solid entry in what is becoming an addictive series. As I’d hoped, Dinniman is introducing us to more of the universe that the game takes place in. Factions, governments, massive debts, cheating and corruption – all the good things in life. Carl and Donut continue to face new and tougher challenges while growing..
A solid start

the story has a fun idea but some of the gaming aspects are bad. for a dude that supposedly ran the best skill in the world and know exactly how the game works he makes a lot of mistakes and if you’ve ever played a game before some of the conflict tension just doesn’t make..
