the performance and voicing was immaculate…Carl’s voice reminded me strongly of kronk from the emperors new groove….this book was fast paced and hilarious with just enough depth and intrigue to ensure that I will read the entire series, in audioboo format…was so fun!

I tried and got through the first 2 books and thought it was just ok so far. Beginning of the third book has me cringing at Karalti’s jealousy. The volume fluctuates between characters in book 3. The book hasn’t gotten me invested enough to shrug off the cringe so I’ll probably end up returning it.

the noises of the mimic often drowned out what was being said. lessen them markedly in the next book.

And Annie, u have gone from a new voice in the background to a very well accomplished Va, kudos.

The hype is real, listening to this book was awesome. Good job Soundbooth Studio!

I really enjoyed this stylized approach and it is good fun. The phrase “Bone Daddy” will forever be in my lexicon. Just great stuff.

…have I been this obsessed with a series. Much like Pratchett, Matt Dinniman takes a ridiculous premise in a ludicrous world and fills it with believable and well-rounded characters driving a story you can’t help but care about. Jeff Hayes’ performance may just ruin you for other audiobooks. I dare you to read or listen..

great book and the narrator needs an award but without spoiling anything the ending left me with such a sour taste in my mouth.

I love this series. It’s hilarious. The author, Matt Dinniman, is ridiculously creative and the narrator, Jeff Hays, is crazy talented.

Well-written and well-produced. Even so, the MC is not a good person and it’s hard to feel invested in his story. I probably won’t listen to a sequel.
