while the story started and was highly entertaining as the story as progressed it is really becoming so much more. its still highly funny but the characters are so much more.
This book has moments of absolute hilarity, yet it has some parts which are very serious and dark as well. The story kept me captivated as I read through the entire book.
This book randomly appeared in my suggestions list and on a whim, I decided to listen to the preview…. and that’s literally all it took…I was absolutely hooked 😅🙌🏽
This first book already has me committed to the rest of the series. It’s hilarious, and the bond that Princess Donut and Carl develop is so sweet! The icing on the cake being that the narrator Jeff does pretty much all the voices. incredible.

This book had the most references back to other books, and as I listened I would take breaks to go back and listen to the relevant chapter or character reference in previous books. I’ve never done that with another series before and I really enjoyed it, like a little scavenger hunt,

I read the first 3 books in hardback, and if anything I wish I’d started with the audiobooks. The Narrator does such a great job of creating a vibe that differs so much from what I envisioned when I was reading it, particularly with the character of Mordecai who I’d thrown a Giles from Buffy..
